Dean is the sole creator and writer of the BBC sitcom Bad Penny.

It’s a surreal Pythonesque sitcom about 13 year old Penny Dreadful and her efforts to thwart her family's wicked ways. It stars Anne Foy from Stitch Up and Graham Fellows (a.k.a. comedian John Shuttleworth), Ann Bryson and Danny Turner.
